At first I thought that dish network was a good company but now I know the truth about the way they treat their customers that leaves them. First of all... I was using dish for about 4 months but then I started having trouble paying their bill because I am disable and started having trouble paying my bills. I call them to tell them that I am going to have to cancel and the lady that was talking to me said that was no problem. That I would be sent a final bill and also a prepaid UPS box to ship thei equipment back... Ok, I thought that went easy enough, well 3 weeks later I was sent a box and they charge my ex credit card with over $400.00 for the equipment, which in turn made her bank overdrawn and all her checks that she had send off to pay bills went bad... I call dish to tell them that she had nothing to do with the account of mine but they said that as long as she had paid 1 time for me that they had the right to use her credit card and that they were not responsible if her bank account went bad or not... I told how can they charge some else's card and why they didn't give me any time to return the equipment since they didn't send me the UPS box until the day that they charge my ex's card... They told me that they can charge anyone's credit card that paid the bill. That it was their right to keep their card or bank number... Well they told my ex when she call them that they will refund any money that they think was for the equipment but that it wouldn't be until 7 to 10 days for them to do that... It is kind of funny that they can chrage you that same day but not get a refund for more than a week... So if any one that has dish network watch out if you happen to let some family menber pay for you cause dish will keep their credit card number or bank number so they will know where to charge just in case you decide to leave them.
