I will try to keep this brief.
This 'moving' company:
1. Showed up at my house a day late to pack
2. Had too small a truck for the load
3. Had insufficient packing materials
4. Had too small a crew
I would have used a different company but since they already had my deposit, and I sold my house the day before and had to vacate, I did not have that option.
After renting another truck, and picking up some materials at the local U-Haul, they packed my stuff. Towards the end of the packing process, they just tossed my stuff anywhere it would fit, even packing things designated as 'special care' into a dog carrier.
At the new house they were again days late. They refused to unload the truck until I gave them additional money and did not unpack and reassemble everything as stated in the contract. Also there were numerous things damaged, including a baby grand piano that was damaged by a nail protruding from their piano board. I have broken vases, broken mirrors, chipped furniture, and lots of other miscellaneous damage to just about everything. They are offering a settlement of $1200 for all damages even though I paid extra for $10,000 of insurance just on the piano which is damaged beyond repair.
Whenever I call, they are never in the office. Of course this is after I identify myself to the operator. They almost never return phone calls.
Of course I will pursue this in court. Fortunately I have the means to do this and will just for the principle of it.
If you use these people, expect to be abused and ripped off.
