My husband and I were married on 19 March. We just received our formal wedding photographs in an album this last week of April! We had to wait just over four months just for our proof book and it was not received in time before my husband left on a six week deployment (he is active duty AF).
Upon his return home in September 04', I attempted to order our wedding album and one 8x 10 formal print. After choosing my 30 photos and my one print, I thought all was well until December. We had not heard one word from Ruby's Photo, nor had we received any photos. I email them a few times, but no one responded. We called and left messages. No one would return our phone calls.
Finally in late January I heard from Tina. This is after I mention the use of legal action. Her excuse for not contacting us was that they were taking care of Steve's father. Meanwhile a lady from work had used them for her daughter's wedding in May. She was having trouble contacting them and receiving her photos too!
Not only did they overcharge our account before our wedding, they charged us an additional 161 dollars the day before our wedding without informing us of this charge!
So more than 12 weeks go by and we only just now received our photos in an album when we threatened legal action. Now I am trying to obtain the amount owed to us and our negatives. They are trying to sell us our negatives and they are only giving us until 31 May for this offer.
Our precious memories are in their hands. We had been more than patient with Tina and Steve. For about 3 thousand dollars, we have one album with 30 or so photos from our wedding. I don't even have prints to send to my parents or to my in-laws. I was waiting for the one 8x10 print to see how that turned out before I ordered any prints for my family members. Why does it take 15 months to receive wedding photos... And why do they ask for all the money upfront... And why do they not communicate with their clients until a lawsuit is mentioned?
