My wife and I got married March 14 in San Diego. We hired Ken Phares as our wedding photographer and was paid in full prior to our wedding date.
We purchased the "Ultimate Wedding" package from Ken which included 500 4x6 photographs, 6 5x7 photographs, 5 8x10 photographs, as well as one signature album and one wedding album. The package also stated we were to "receive all Negatives and Digital Files."
Up until this point, we have received the 500 4x6 photographs and the signature album.
Ken has not (or will not) give us the rest of the agreed upon photographs, which includes the negatives, the digital files, and most importantly, our wedding album.
I have called and emailed Ken intermittently for the past two years and he has yet to return our calls or respond to our emails. On occasion, I would stop by his office and no one would ever be there.
Even a few of our friends have tried setting up an appointment with Ken in order to demand our wedding album. And still, no response.
Perhaps Ken is too busy with other wedding events? But for more than two years?
I recently visited his website kenpharesphotography.com, unfortunately, he is still out there, taking wedding photographs for other couples. His recent event was in December.
Although it's speculation, I have concluded that Ken may be intentionally avoiding our calls and failing to respond to any of our messages.
My wife and I do not care for the $3178 we spent to hire Ken. All we want are our wedding photographs.
There are two things I'll always remember from our wedding day, and one of them is Ken Phares.
