First, I see the reports on early termination fees. Sadly, this is a problem with most cell phone companies.
Nextel is vulnerable right now. They are being bought out. If they do not disclose the level and seriousness of customer complaints, they could face big lawsuits from the acquirer or shareholders.
Make sure you send a copy of your report to the CEO, CFO and Board of Directors.
I was the victim of ID theft. Someone put a phone on my account and started running up thousands of dollars in calls to PAKISTAN.
Nextel's initial response was: "Well, they had your ID." Duh! It now looks like the "theft" may be an inside job. The phone was activiated just after I had purchased a new phone. Either a Nextel employee did it, or they left my paperwork around where someone else grabbed it.
Months later, this is still not resolved.
