Early Termination fees - cell phone and Direct connect

We moved to a area that Nextel does not service at all called customer service today and the supervisor Taneka told me she would get me two sprint phones to us here and then when we get to nextel area turn off sprint phones and turn on Nextel. We would have two different contracts and four phones. Left us no choice but on cancel the contract early runs out in Jan 09. Taneka informed me that i would have to pay 100.00 I ask her if that was for both phones and she said yes then it jumped to 200.00 for both phones. I do not think it is fair due to we have no service at all phones are no good.
