Almost a month ago I first placed an order on a dress through Lord and Taylor online shopping and the next day I get a notice via email that the dress was unavailable. I go online to check the item and there it is again. So I order it again then the next day it got cancelled. A few days later I see the item available again and this time I even called to make sure the dress was really there. After getting things confirmed, I place the order then the third time it gets cancelled because it was out of stock again for the third time. I really needed the dress because it was gorgeous and the price was unbelievable. I just couldn't give up. This cycle kept happening 2 more times after that. A total of 5 times. They finally told me the truth. That the dress was simply was not available... After almost a whole month I was told the truth. This was my first time shopping online at Lord and Taylor and never will I shop here again. From what I remember Lord and Taylor was a somewhat upscale-y wannabe department store, but either I was wrong or things have changed. From my experience Lord and Taylor is unreliable and they have a very poor online system. Nordstrom has the same dress for a $100 more, but now I realize that it is totally worth it. They are reliable and honest. If I had known this was going to happen, I should have just paid the extra $100 and saved me a load of stress. This will certainly be the first and last time ever!!
