Scam Shady Out to get you Ripoff

I first off would like to thank each and every one of you for reporting this company. This company has been trying to get my husband and I on the phone for over 2 months, finally, this morning I talked to the lady that called. She said her name was Jean and that my husband and I were approved for a 500.00 dollar Mastercard. She asked me 3 questions:

1. Do we make at least 250.00 dollars a week

2. Do we have a valid checking or savings account in our names

3. Do we need to rebuild our credit/could we use a 500.00 Credit Card

Once I answered these questions, she gave me a confirmation that we are pre-approved, then gave me a #7551 and said that one of the processors would be calling me within the next 15 minutes to get the rest of my information. Being a bit leary over it, considering we were scammed not quite 2 months ago from another credit card company, I knew not to give these people any serious information about us until I'd looked them up on the better business bureau and usacomplaints.com.

While waiting for the 'processor' to call, I decided to check the BBB online. Low and behold, there they are. I've copied and pasted what they said about them, just so you can see it:

Customer Experience

Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to unanswered complaints. The company has resolved some complaints presented by the Bureau, however, the Bureau did not receive a response to other complaints. Additionally, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to a pattern of complaints concerning sales practices, delivery issues, and credit or billing disputes. This company calls consumers and offers them a chance to rebuild their credit by purchasing a credit card for a processing fee of $129.99. Once the package arrives in the mail, the consumers do not actually receive the credit card but rather get applications on how to obtain a credit card.

Well, of course, seeing this definately set my mind straight, but, just for that extra push, I decided to log onto usacomplaints. Coms.com to see if there were any reports on this company, and WOW. I'm so thankful there is a site like this.

After 20 minutes, my phone rang, and there was the 727-530-7071 number on my caller ID. I answered it, and he said his name was Jeff, a processor through PCS and that he'd been told to contact me in regards to my recent approval, then asked for the confirmation #. Just to play along, I gave him the #, then he asked if I still lived on "blah blah blah' street, and I said no, that our home was condemned in the hurricanes and we'd moved. He said "Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that... Could I have your new address please?". Well, I really didn't want to give them too much information from there, and they certainly didn't need to know my new address, so I stopped him there and said, "Could I know exactly who I'm giving my address to?" and he said, "Ma'am, this is Jeff from PCS" and I said, "Yes, I know who you are, but you don't seem to understand my question, let me make this a bit clearer... I just got online and looked up your company on the Better Business Bureau's website, and it says you have an UNSATISFACTORY record with them, with over 200 filed complaints against you in the last 36 months... And then I logged onto usacomplaints.com and there you were again" but before I could go on, CLICK he hung up on me. I actually had to laugh, because it felt good to know that I hadn't let them scam me.

These people are bad news. And if anyone ever needs my testimony if they take them to court, count me in!

Thank you again for the warnings,
Forever grateful
