Mark e. flores insurance agents beware! QuoteSource Direct and Mark Flores = "1st Degree Scam"

Attention Insurance Agents &Mark E. Flores, QuoteSource Direct Insurance Services is a SCAM!

Here's what happened to me—I responded to a Craigslist ad (under "insurance sales") for this outfit which was soliciting agents under the heading "Licensed Life Agents—All Inside Sales, Extremely Fast Pay!" It was explained that an agent could work from his/her office, using the "70-80" leads per week provided by QuoteSource to sell mortgage protection insurance. The offered contracting with Mutual of Omaha, Anico and Assurity and others.
The "catch" was making a deposit of $450 via PayPal for first batch of leads, which deposit would be returned upon writing your first 5 apps. Mark Flores, thief-in-charge, had all kinds of gaudy production stats and how the typical agent makes well above $120,000/yr. Sound good so far???

Mark Flores then sends you contracting paperwork for the various providers QuoteSource is associated with. Upon receipt of your $450 "deposit" he then sends starts the "training program" which is straight out of Telemarketing 101, and begins the contracting process.

After about two weeks and not getting any "pending contract" notices from any provider, I began to email and call (leaving messages—he never answered in-bound calls) and wonder what the hold-up was. Turns out I was being the one "held-up". All this started in early November. Marks's 5 session training class was finally offered to "all new agents" in late November. He's send out email announcements to "all new agents" regarding appointments/contracting, etc.

Around Dec. 14, I began to realize that I had been "had". Still nothing from the providers with whom I had filled out contracting paperwork, no contact from Mark Flores, and... All his phone numbers were now disconnected—couldn't leave a message. My next step now is notifying the providers, Calififornia Dept. Of Insurance, West Covina Police etc. I called PayPal to report fraud in this case. Any other ideas???

This guy is very, very good. Friendly, smooth, slick, helpful, "sincere". Claims to have been in business 20 years when he has his license 12 years, says he's beeen in business since 2003 when it's really been 2007. Be aware—be advised... Quotesource direct and mark e. Flores is a scam and fraud. Look for them on facebook, craigslist and indeed (in the future)... Or coming to a website near you!
