American Family Insurance is a scam. It's a scam for agents and it's an unethical company when it comes to its insureds. I was an agent for 3 years. The company puts pressure on agents to sell life insurance, if you don't sell enough they will find a way to get rid of you. They put pressure on you to not write policies on certain ethnic groups. "AMERICAN INSURANCE" my #%$! Like any insurance company it is in business to make a profit.
Not much is off the table when it comes to how they will get to that end. When I started with the company there were 16 new agents, after 3 years all but 3 had been terminated for one reason or another. This meant that the books of business that the agent and produced was turned over to a new agent at nearly half of the original commission... Can the original agent so you can have a new agent just service the business.
