9/27/08 Went to Luau on Oahu. Went to buffet. Returned to find people in our seats drinking our drinks. Paradise Cove staff allowed people to take our seats and did nothing when we complained except tell us to take worse seats (could not see the stage where show would occur). Kalua pig was oversalted and could not eat it. Rice was mushy and undercooked. Vegetable salad was wilted and the pasta salad was oily. Left full plates of food on the table and asked to see manager. After waiting almost 30 minutes Sylvia, night manager came out and we explained circumstances and requested a refund. She asked us to wait while she checked. She came back with the chef, a young caucasian from the mainland, who told us we did not understand how they prepared their food and it was native island style.
Sylvia refused our request for refund and gave us the name of a JoAnn to call on Monday. We returned the lays they had given us and remaining drink tickets and walked out the front gate in Sylvia's presence. On Monday, JoAnn refused to give refund and refused to even give us her personal e-mail. Called the CEO of the company who refused to return telephone calls.
