Where do I start? I was called by Meridias Capital and told that I was one of many people that qualifide for the Obamah modification program. I was refinanced and everything was fine until my mortgage was sold to Freedom Mortgage. Because they failed to get all my information correct I had not recieved my first statement from them. I called the previous mortgage co. To find out what was going on. They gave me a no. To call freedom mortgage. After calling them they stated that I did not have a correct account#. They couldnt find anything under my name, but ussured me they would work on it and call me back. Months went by of course they never got back to me, in the meantime I contacted my insurance co. And my county tax dept. Only to find out they had not been paid. Eventually they sent a courier to my home and left me a note with a # to call them. I called only to be threatened with foreclosure. They were totally rude! I found out that they had been sending my statements to the wrong address, the rep even stated on the phone "Yes I see where the statements have been returned to us." Because I had made a partial payment to my property taxes, they assured that I would recieve that money back. Yea right, I only recieved a partial refund and told that they needed a 600.00 escrow cushion. I explained to them in that case they should have adjusted my payment amount. But they do things their way and there is no reasoning with them. After a while I put in an appliction for home retention, because my working hours were cut. Apparently you have to be in foreclosure before they will help. Yep, you guessed it I couldnt make my payments and by the time they got around to looking at my app. I was in foreclosure.By the way if I hadnt called them when I did they probably wouldnt have looked at my app. It seemed as if they had no idea! Every time I call I can never speak with the same rep and nobody seems to know whats going on or what to do. And forget about talking to a supervisor, "My case does not warrant a supervisor!" RUDE!!! And nothing but! As for my refi my payment went up 40. How does that help me keep my home? Yup I'm put in another app. But I'm going to refinance with another co.instead, and good riddence to this co.
