I scheduled a next day estimate for carpet in my home. I left work early to be at home for the scheduled appointment which was 4:00 - 6:00 pm, they require a 2 hour window and theoretically they come during this time. I wanted and wanted and nobody showed up. At 6:00 pm I notice a voice message on my cell phone so I pick it up and it's the Empire guy, he called and left a message at 5:58pm (2 minutes left in the appointment window mind you) I know it was 5:58 pm because the iphone message records the call time. The guy leaves a message and says he's running about 30 minutes late but he's on his way. So about 6:05 I called their 800 number to find out what's and the customer service rep tells me that the new appointment time is 7:30pm, she said because they didn;t hear back from me they sent the estimator to another job... I told her I just got the call like 5 minutes ago that he was coming, she said I didn't return the call (although the estimator never said call me back to confirm he just said I'll be there in 30 minutes) and they cancelled the appointment. My new appointment time was at 7:30 pm... Guess what I told her!!!
