In Lakeland Florida. I had an appointment for 9-11 on a weekday morning. I drove 75 miles to make the appointment and got to the house 15 mintues early. No one from Empire showed for the appointment nor did anyone call. 15 mintues after the appointment time expired I called the customer service number to notify them that their agent did not show, to log the time of my call, and tell them I was leaving. When I got back to my office (another 75 miles) I had a confirmation email about the appointment they did not make. I responded to the email through their link. 24 hours after the missed appointment I get a call about the "confusion over the previous day appointment". I told them there was no confusion and that their service was no longer needed. They tried to offer me $50 credit off my purchase of flooring (it was a job of 1700sf of carpet and ceramic tile). $50 would not even pay for my fuel for the repeat 150 roundtrip. If they can not show for an appointment to measure and sell their carpet then what would be my confidence that they would complete the job in the time I have to flip this property? We filp 20 houses a year and were looking for a new vendor partner in Lakeland Fl to establish a working relationship with going forward for next year's inventory of 20-30 houses in Polk County Florida.
