My wife and I wanted to put down carpet in our new apartment. So we figured wed call thhe quickest company we knew of. We both remembered the song, and we called the number, and we had the tech out the next day. We live in NY upstate so the tech was about three hours past the window they promised. When she came she said 2500 for two small bedrooms about 12 by 10 each. When we declined she offered us 1100. When we said we had to think about, she stormed off extremely unproffesionally as she says how she doesn't make any money now. She said well the offer is on the table for 30 days. So we call the next day and they said they will send her back out for us to sign the contract. So I call out of work, and two hours into the window they promise she calls my cellphone. She says she figured that we didn't want her to come because the price iss back up to 2500 because we didn't take the offer that day. Then she says she can't make any money if she has to drive all the way back up here for 1100 dollars. So I call a manager, and he said that he will honor the originall deal and she shoulldnt have said that, he said he will have her call us and she will come out the next day after 5pm. So the next day comes, and guess who never shows. So I call empire again, and asked to speak with cooperate, the woman on the phone (I swear on my daughter, I kid you not) says, I've never heard of that sir, we don't have access to numbers like that. So I asked her for her name and instead she says how about I send another technician out there, I said ok when, she says hold on one moment you are being transferred, and transfers me to this rude person who asks me what's going on? Like is this a joke, a company can really treat people like this? After telling the guyy my whole story he says to me he can't help me because I didn't get it in paper, so I tell him that I will educate every single person I can on how much of a scam this place is. And btw I found the headqaurters information if anyone wants it. Look it up on google, empire today headqaurters, its in some weird state like illionous.
