I paid an extra $199.99 for a 5 year warranty on a treadmill I purchased at Sears. I had a warranty repair scheduled for this morning. They are only willing to give a 4 hour window on when the repair person will show up. My window was from 8-12 this morning.
It's 12:30 now and I'm still waiting. I was only planning to take the morning off from work and now have to take the whole day off. I called the 800 number to check on updates and it repeated that I'm scheduled for 8-12.
If I had known what to expect I would not have spent the extra $199.99 for the extended warranty. Hiring a local repairman would have cost far less than the $199.99 for the warranty and the cost of taking a day off from work.
I rate Sears Home Repair extremely low due to their useless and unreliable scheduling.
I am unable to find the location of this service outlet but it is the one serving the 75007 zip code.
