Over the past 8 to 10 years we have had several thousand dollar projects completed by home depot and their contractors and never had a problem until this kitchen remodeling project which cost over $14000.00 the installer for the new kitchen cabinets was great. Home depot designer mary boyd was super and outstanding and extremely thorough and professional and knowledgeable. Chris (can't remember last name) was also super and outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. However the one overweight male, andy was rude, short on the phone, desperately needs to work on his customer service skills. He was very annoyed when the contractor we hired had to put in the ceramic tile floors had to call and ask questions before starting the project.
The contractor cameo countertops, come scheduler named stacy, did not return our phone calls and was not accomodating, helpful, courteous when the ceramic floor was installed. The measurement for the countertops in our home was done on tuesday, sept. 7 at 8am. The same day my wife and myself called her at two different time 9am and 9:30 am and she never returned either call. I finally got holder at 9am wednesday and she did not offer an apology for not calling us back and basically had an i could care less attitude. When i asked her how long would it be when they could install the ceramic counter tops and reinstall our kitchen sink and dishwasher, she informed me it would be another 4 weeks or more because they were busy. I told her this was unacceptable and would speak to home depot.
Chris in the ktichen department at home depot at home depot, 3200 secor road north, toledo oh. 43606, (419-537-5406 informed me that there was nothing home depot could do and she could not get the date moved up.informed her is was the final part of our kitchen remodeling and we did not want to wait another 4 weeks or longer to get this project completed and this was the last stage of the project. I told her my wife and myself wanted a different contractor and that cameo counter tops should not have taken the job if they could not complete it in a timely manner. Needless to say i told her if she did not have another contractor that i wanted my money back and would go to lowes or the anderson, your competitor and get the job completed. She then refunded my $2000.00. We had spent over $14000.00 in a bank cashier's check and you all wanted the entire amount up front. After all the money we spent over the years in your home depot and were good customers for years but now after this disaster and rude and incompetent contractor we will not take our business to lowes or the andersons. You just lost a valuable customer and that is to bad. You should have a better selection of contractors who practice customer satisfaction and customer service first.
