When I called to request a repair appointment I was advised I would get same day service if I purchased a repair contract for $251.99. I paid and was scheduled 8am to noon the same day (Saturday). I soon received a call that my 8 to noon was now Thursday at the earliest.instead, I said cancel the contract/refund the money. It was then that I was advised 1-5p the same say was available. Ok, I'll keep the contract, just be out today. At 4p when I called to check my status I was told my appointment was cancelled by the routing supervisor to avoid excessive overtime. I was never called so I requested to speak with a supervisor (Alex) who after some discussion got me an appointment for Tuesday. I called Sears customer complaint line and was told everyone was really sorry, and I shouldn't have been promised same day service, and my appointment shouldn't have been made and then cancelled without notification, etc. I asked if there would be a discount or some compensation and was advised no. I was told to call back tomorrow (Sunday) to cancel my agreement because the system can't handle same day cancellations that involve a credit card. Who does business like this? This will be my last Sears purchase if no reponse to this complaint is received. Come on, Sears, provide the service you promised
