Four years ago we bought a 4 ton central heat and air conditioner for $6142.00. The Sears contract includes a 5 year extended warranty, for which we were charged $560.00. After less than two years we had a serious problem. Sears told us they had no recoed of us having the extended warranty. It is on our copy of the contract. We have been fored to pay several hundred dollars for all the repairs. We took our contract to two separate Sears managers and they agreed we indeed had been charged for the 5 year extended warranty. Each manager made several phone calls. The last manager told us to get a lawyer and sue Sears. What can we do? We are elderly people and my wife is fighting cancer.
