I'm trying to get a loan modification from Chase (they recently bought my loan from MetLife Home Loans - who "were no longer in the mortgage business" - After 90 days of conversations and correspondence requesting the same documentation over and over and over again - and an inability to read and analyze the information they already have - or they wouldn't keep asking for it - They actually said that the documents were "out of date" - this after it sat on someone's desk for over two months. Finally, just days before the 90 day mark - the "processor" called to tell me that since I did not reply in a timely manner - they were closing my application - but I could feel free to apply again.
I am not in ARREARS - my mortgage payment is current, my credit rating is near 800 - But - I recently retired and my income is less than $25,000. My house is not worth what I owe on it - so I was under the impression that this was the purpose of the HARP program. Also, I am a former mortgage loan processor, closer, underwrite and compliance specialist (part of that time I worked for Bank One - I know how to read loan documents and what is required - but the processor at Chase inGlendale, CO was just making things up to cover her incompetence. When I objected to another request for the SAME DOCUMENTS - I was told I was rude. There are less than honest and legal practices taking place in the Glendale, CO (80246) location.
I expect an immediate reply and explanation for the incompetence and inability to complete the task the employees of this office are paid to do. L After reading additional comments form others - it appears to be the way Chase does business. If not satisfied by the end of the week - I will close my accouts at Cnase and sell my stock.
