After looking at many places to reside which would except small pets and including security we decicded to reside in Royal Palm Place (HELL IN PARADISE). We signed a 7 month lease all was fine until we asked a question to management team. At that point the managers were very unprofessional in there approach and attitude. We were shocked and this is NOT ACCEPTABLE. We complained to the owner who appologized on the managers behalf. After this occurance we became aware of how unprofessional the whole business is conducted from the management to the owner. Staff talks continously about tenants behind there backs. It also came to our attention that the tenants are not encouraged to ask any questions regarding anything occuring in the building. Regarding the 7 month lease we now became charged 8 months because management did not permit us to move into the building until November 7. So November 7 until June 7 would be 7 months. However we were instucted we must pay until June 30. Copy of the lease was totally delayed until December with constant persistants from me. Once I received the copy of the lease wth question regarding the 8th month management instructed me HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO US WITH ALL WE DID TO GET YOU IN THE BUILDING. We got in the building due to the fact we had the money. We left the appartment we were now returning to NJ. Furniture was left until our son would be there with the moving company and a cleaning crew. At the end of June we received a letter saying that they were holding $1400.00 of our deposit. We were told that our dog had flees THIS IS NOT TRUE. Our dog and our family are very clean and caring at that time my dog had Frontline treatment so therefore could NOT have flees. Management instucted me that carpeting was soiled and infested with fleas this is scientifically impossible due to the fact the dog was not there for one month. If the dog was not in the premises for more than a month Fleas only source of food is blood they will not last without one week without blood SO HOW CAN THERE BE FLEAS! Additionally they stated that our dog had urinated on the carpeting. Our dog is wee wee pad trained from birth. Our dog is so trained that she will use the wee wee pad even in the ladies room on a plane. The retention of money was brought about to get even with us for asking questions and complaining about management. There are other tenants which have similar complaints with Royal Palm Place. This is an insult to me my family and other residents are that are not used to this type of behavior. All that glitters is not gold beware of royal palm place not impressed and turned off of royal palm certainly would not recommend
