I was a tenent with Jami Tobiassen and Blackstone Investment Properties at Andrews Court in Vancouver, Washington. When I moved into the place I put down $950 with $200 no-refundable. The house wasn't in top shape and there was a used vehicle still in the garage and glass all over the garage as well.
I lived there for 13 months, but at the time of moving out we cleaned that place up. I understand that our non-refundable fee was going to be for carpet cleaning, but not only did they keep the $200 but they also kept the $750 and also they claimed that I ruined the carpet downstairs.
As they claimed that the carpet was nearly new, but a few months after moving in, big black stains started showing up behind a couch and there was fraying on the edge where the carpet met the kitchen floor. They are now claiming that I own them $680.
They are also claiming that they had to repaint the whole place, which really gets me because I only had a couple pictures hung up in the whole place and also I pluged the holes that where there. I also had a professional house cleaner come over and help with the place and was told that it was good.
Then when trying to talk to somebody from the organization, I wasn't able to find the name Blackstone Investment Properties when asking the telephone opperater for the number, not only that, I did have a fax number, but when faxing them and calling Jami several times I was never given the curtousy of a return call. Then several weeks later I received in the mail of all the damages that I supposibly have done. Not!!!
