After moving out of camden bay pointe apartments I am being charged for complete carpet replacement in the apartment. Before moving the apartment was inspected and I was told all was in good order. On tuesdayl March 26, I received a letter saying that I owe them for carpet replacement. I am being charged $460 for carpet I lived on for 27 months. Camden only cleaned the carpet once in that time. I asked to have it cleaned in January and was told not to worry, they would clean it when I moved.
I was told they have pictures of stains on the carpet. I don't doubt there were stains when the apartment is completely carpeted. But, any stains were do to normal activity. There were no pets or children in the apartment. The carpet is not treated with stain repellant. So even when cleaning accidental spills, there was no way to get the stain completely out. Normal wear and tear is determined by prejudiced management to cover up their neglect in not having the carpet cleaned for over a year.
I only have 15 days to dispute this charge from management. Unfair and false claims upon my use of the apartment.
