My name is Christina, and have been a resident of Mohave County most of my life. Except for 8 months in Maricopa County. I have been neglected by the child support enforcement in Mohave County.
I only have two Children, ages 10 yrs. & 8 yrs. The father has only made maybe two payments each being less than $100.
While attending college I opted for aide from DES for help and rcvd. It since i was a full time college student and worked part time and was a single mother of two. Now years later i am still a single mom raising two children and working full time just to pay for the basic neccessities plus trying to put my kids in extra curricular activities to keep them involved instead of getting into trouble.
I still receive no child support, and do not qualify for food stamps (even though i only make $1,800 a month), but yet entitled to the use of support enforcement. My ex gets jobs long enough to support himself and then i will notify support enforcement of his whereabouts and they will slow walk their abilities to pursue.
And of course as soon as he gets word that i/state am/is looking to collect child support he changes jobs, residences, and now for the second time in 10 years he has changed states. What i am told by my case worker phylis is that the state does not pay for locator services (i.E.internet research), they go by social securitynumber/AZ state employers new hire reports.
I have paid numerous people out of my own pocket to give me information to try and collect the GREAT fortune of $218 a month that is owed to my children. My ex has been arrested and has been in numerous county jails and yet the state could not find him to collect support. Someone was sitting around with their finger high up somewhere. They tell me that his passport rights, taxes, drivers license have been suspended, but they cant even find him in jail.
I have written letters to everyone in a state position and even to my local papers. Is everyone afraid? I am not. I won't stop now. Not just for my kids, but i will help in any way i can for others children. HEY! Child support enforcement offices statewide and Governor Napolitano, Terry Goddard or even my case worker Phylis. This will not be the last time any of you hears from me.
I will not stop. I WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE! And JEREMY MEYER (ex) i will find you or i will make a difference trying.
