T-Mobile takes advantage of disabilty - T-Mobile Cell Phone

On or about September 16 my son lost his phone. He subsequently went into a T-Mobile store to buy a refurbished phone.
Now, let me give you a little back ground about my son. His name is Robert Hales. He is 23 years old. He is a great guy, but struggles with life. When he was in school he was covered under the IDEA Act and was protected from the world. Now, I worry constantly, however; he is a grown man and I must let him live his own life. He is disabled, he stutters severely. He is very hard to communicate with. Often, people do not treat him well. He is easily taken advantage of and easily bullied. I realize this is always a possibility and fortunately it does not happen often in other situations. I keep in close contact with him and he understands that there are actions that can be taken on his behalf if necessary so that he is protected from discrimination, however; he really wants to be a grown up and rarely (if ever) complains.

Sadly, on September 16 a T-Mobile Sales person took advantage of him and his disability. He trusted this man because I had service with this T-Mobile for 14 years. The truth was the sales person was telling him one thing and me another, neither of which were true. He was sold the cheapest phone possible for $30.00 cash. He was just happy to have a phone, he communicates - via text most of the time because it is easiest for him, as I am sure you can see from his phone bills.
At this time there was also a two year contract added. I never authorized or signed for a contract, a change in a rate plan, or a phone on the condition of a contract. I did not sign a new contract on September 16. I did not enter a T-Mobile store on September 16 to even conduct any business. I am enraged that T-Mobile or any of its associates would treat a person with a disability so horribly; I am also appalled that T-Mobile would treat a customer of 14 years so atrocious! I will be leaving Sprint in October; but after this I would never consider switching back to T-Mobile.
