When I first received a phone call from these people they suggested a magazine subscription at 24.00 a month for 24 months for magazines that they suggested. I agreed because I wanted magazines for my wife and son. I was also told that the agreement would be sent to me in the mail and I could stop the delivery if for some reason I was not happy with it.
I never received anything in the mail from these people except a bill for 119.90. When I received my credit card bill, I saw that I was charged 59.95 for the first month. At that time I called Sunset to cancel the agreement because I can't afford that type of spending especially for magazines.
When I called them they said that I was not allowed to cancel the service because I was recorded saying that I agreed that I could never cancel the service.
They have sent me a bill for 119.90 and say that they are going to go to a collection agency to get paid for the next five years. I told them to do what they think and I will show the letters to my Attorney.
If there is any way you can assist me with this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.
I am a disabled Viet Nam combat veteran and this is driving me crazy!
