Months ago, I started to recieve three different magazines in my wifes name. I asked her if she ordered any magazines. She said she might have on the computor. She is mentally handicapped. I tried to call this company repeatedly. They never answered the phone or called back. Finally after two months I get ahold of this woman. I tell her I did not order these magazines and would like them stopped. She said I could not cancel as the 30 day time period had expired. I told her my wife was handicaped and felt that she was taken advantage of. The lady was very rude and told me they would take 59.99 out of my credit card every month for the next year. I called and got ahold of a person from one of the three magazines and explained that I wanted the magazines canceled. They were very helpful and canceled all three magazines. About a month later I started recieving five or six different magazines of all kinds in my name. I called and tried to cancel them and was told they had been ordered through a third party. Sunset publications and here is the number. I called this number a ton of times over the next couple of months never being able to get anyone or have anyone return my calls. I finally contacted my credit card company and filed a complaint. They refunded my money and changed my credit card number. I very shortly afterward started to recieve calls from Sunset Publications. Demanding I pay them. I told them I did not order all these crazy magazines they were sending me and to please stop. They said we have a recording of you ordering these magazines and we will not stop sending them. We will take you to collections. We will ruin your credit. Etc. Etc. Very nasty and rude phone calls. They call constantly. If I or my wife answers there call they are very rude and threatening. If we let it go to voice mail. They are very nice and pleasant. It is always the same lady. I don, t want these magazines and I did not order them. I am sure they are doing harm to my credit. I am thinking about just spending the money on a lawyer and suing them for damages.
