I had a tellemarketer visit me at my place of business. I am always willing to buy something to help a person out, but on this day I was lied to and misled when I was completely honest with this guy. I told him that normally I would purchase something but unfortunatley did not have the funds available to me that day.
He assured me that my check would not go through till at least Friday, which in that case the check would have cleared just fine. So I bought the three items from him. One of those items that was a toll set I bought for my Fience for $50.00.
The sales man said that it was compared to craftsman, but an actuall Home Depot brand and that they would replace it if I had any problems. Unforunatley Home Depot has never heard of the brand and knew nothing about it.
I called the man the very next day to let him know that I did not want the drill and to come get it so I could get my money back. He never showed, no call, no nothing.
The next day both of my check hit (Wed.) and ofcourse they bounced. So, I called this man back, he informed me that he would have his manager call me in regards to everything.
That day went by and still no call. Thusday I callled again and this time the sales man wouldnt answer the phone, I left him several messages that went without regard.
On Friday, I called the actuall company to file a complaint. The girl that is in charge of the complaints said that the salesman never made her aware of the situation and that she would have that Manager call me back.
Finally the manager called and said he would speak with the saleman, well guess what? Nothing. So I called back on Monday and he finally called me back and said the sales person was out that day, that It would be tomorrow before he ccould speak with him.
That day has come and gone and have heard nothing! Moral of this story, NEVER BUY FROM SOLICITERS! They all are lying, cheating bastards that care about no one but themselves.
