My sons car overheated a week ago... I called Valvoline in Midwest City and the person on the phone said to bring it in around noon and the mechanic would look at it... I live 20 miles from the place and it was over 100 degrees outside... I drove the car with the heater to cool the engine down which wasnt working so I kept pulling over and one time it wouldnt start..
So I seen Valvoline on my way there... I pulled in there and the guy told me it was my heater core... He bypassed the heater core and put some water in the car. That stopped it from overheating... He told me that should get me to the one on Air Depot station. When I got to Air Depot station only to be told the mechanic is backed out he cant look at until Tuesday... It was Saturday... Why didnt he tell me this over the phone... He told me the mechanic said it is a 6 hour job at it would cost me 389.00 for everything... So I tookthe car home... I called Monday to tell them I could not make until Friday... They said fine bring it in the morning... My son brought the car Friday morning I spoke to the Customer service rep on the phone and told him the other one bypass the heater core... He said he would tell the mechanic and he would call be back that day to tell the status of the car... Never heard back... I drove by at 2:00 in the afternoon the car was sitting in the parking lot... I called Saturday morning... Was told the mechanic doesnt get in till 10:00 and he will call me... NEVER received a phone call... Called back... Was told he leftto get a part. He will be back in ten mins never called back. I drove by and the car was gone... So me and my husband went in there... The mechanic was there and said it would not be done until 6:00 pm I said where is the car... He didnt want to answer me... I kept asking and he said it was in a another shop... I said where he said on 23rd & McArthur... Which is across town... I talk to the manager so I thought... It wasnt the manager but he told me he was... He was the same guy that told me the price of the repair... He told me that they do this all the time take carsto the other shop when they are back out and that it was not a big deal they are the same company... I said nobody told me this when I kept calling... This is wrong. You people should have told me what you did... I told him I'm going to the other shop... I went back to the other valvoline that stopped the car from overheating... And told them what happen... They gave me the number to Jim Weinrich the district manager. And the number to the McArthur shop... I called Jim he told me that he knows what happen... And that the real manager was suppose to call me... He never did... Jim told me the car is at rapid muffler... I said what... They told me it was at the McArthur shop... He told me the mechanic was embrassed that he could get to the car... So he lied to me... Then Jim tells the price is 589.00 I said no they told me the price as 389.00... Jim said he would call me back in 10 mins... Never received the call back... I called him... He didnt answer... Then he called me back... Saying he received a call from this number... I told me yeah what was the deal with the price... He told me he just got off the phone with the manager at valvoline... Lair... He told me that he is paying rapid muffler 400.00 to fix the car... And for me to get a check for 11.00 at valvoline and pay rapid muffler 400.00... I said fine... I went to rapid muffler and the guy said nobody called him and told he said his price was over 500.00... I told what they told me... He said fine he would take the 400.00... I think he felt sorry for me because of Valvoline lying to me... My husband went to valvoline to get the 11.00 check... Nobody knew what he was talking about. And they told me over the phone that is was 589.00.. They never gave me a price over the phone... Because they never called me back... They told me the price then I tried to drop it off the first time... And nobody spoke to Jim today... What liars... Dishonesty... I will never go to valvoline ever... I'm glad they didnt work on the car... They probably would have ruined it... The guy never called back to tell me the car wasnt at McArthur... I called Jim and told him that they knew nothing about the ckeck. Jim and the rest the people that work there are LIARS... I have no warranty or paper work on the heater core... My kids dropped it off friday morning and they didnt have them sign anything... There is no paper trail... They lost a customer but rapid muffler gained a customer... Valvoline sucks... Dishonest... Never go to them... Jim said the check is in mail for 11.00 and he was sorry... I doubt the ckeck is in the mail... I told Jim about the warranty issue... He didnt seem to care... Valvoline sucks... Liars... LIARS...
