I originally had a payment date of August 6th/04, but asked for an extension and got it for September 5th/04. I was promised I would get the card and computer in 14 days, but they arrived in 20 days from my date of payment. I was given $1000 in grocery coupons. Bit disappointed, but grateful in the end.
I received a call from First Link in August. The lady seemed to be a bit unknowledgeable of credit cards, not knowing what APR stood for. I was a bit leery at first, but decided to take the risk as I needed to repair my credit.
The shipment was later than I expected. I got the mastercard and computer but 1 week later than promised. I also called Gateway to exchange my desktop computer for a laptop for an extra $399. The help desk at Gateway was quite reasonable in fulfilling my request. However, they told me that I would have to wait 3-4 weeks for the laptop.
My biggest complaint is the length of time it takes to receive the products and the lack of total knowledge by the sales reps and customer service. I guess it is because First Link hires mostly young students it seems.
