When we found American Furniture Depot we were so excited! Finally a place where we could purchase good quality items on an easy lay-away program. It was free, and all we had to do was pay what we could afford every two weeks.
Everything was fine until a month ago, when we paid off the bunk beds that we were getting for our girls. We asked when the would be available for pick up. The gentleman there said that a delivery was arriving that day and they would call us.
We never received a call. So after a week we called them. They said the truck was coming in on Friday so call back next week. We did one better, we stopped by. Surprise, the truck still had not made it in.
Three weeks later, half a dozen calls, and a couple of visits and we were still waiting on the truck. I was getting pretty upset, so I called again. This time I was told to talk to Steve the District Manager, but I would have to call back.
I called back only to find out that Steve didn't come in that day and guess what, we screwed up... The product number on your order form, you know, the one that the sales person wrote up, well it's not a product number for any bunk beds.
Huh? Well then where are our bunk beds? Well needless to say we were given the run around for three weeks. The truck is coming in tomorrow... The bunk beds are fully payed off and the mattresses as well, yet they are not in my girl's room, so where are they?
They claim that we will have our bunk beds by Friday March 11. So far we have not been offered one word of apology, nothing for all of our trouble, and not one returned phone call. All in all I do not recommend using their lay away, if you can't take it home right then, run.
