I bought a Bluebird American Express card today at Walmart in New Hampshire just across the Connecticut river. I read the Terms and Conditions and began to register only to be told the card is not available in Vermont. I know that 5 dollars is not a lot to many but when I called customer service the rep hung up after I waited 10 minutes. Next I called back and waited for another 10 minutes. She told me she was sorry that Bluebird card was not available in Vermont. She said I could use the 5 dollars I put on the card but would not be allotted a plastic permanent card and I could not have a five dollar refund. She said to give it away to a friend whom lives outside of Vermont. The package said nothing about not available in Vermont. Now if 20 people buy a card over the river at the Walmart in New Hampshire and have an address here, someone will make $100 for nothing.
