Not just today, but 24-hours a day 7 days a week, after poking holes on Fifth Avenue in the summer, Con Edison has left the area with banging steel plates. There is an incline from 34 to 36th Street, and if Con Ed plans to leave these temporary plates, instead of paving the road, this winter, there will be accidents as the cars slide over them. It sounds very much like the bang bang of the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Show. But this goes on and on and there hasn't been a workman here for months. Seems like this will never end. You know, in Germany, they have fitted cement coverings that can be lifted and put back with no drilling or plates. Let's get NYC up to the 21st Century. Thank you. William Deane
