I contacted the company and spoke with a female who appeared to be very welcoming and nice. She quoted me a price of 5 hours for approximately $75.00 an hour, I reserved the services. On September 29, I saw the 4 men standing outside my apartment walking around. I approach the men and asked if they were here from the moving company? The foreman responded yes. He entered my apartment and COMPLETED a walk through before we began the moving process. I informed him that since WE PACKED EVERYTHING, we would not be requiring any packing material. The foreman replied, ok, and began to go over the paperwork. Once we got to the page requiring the use of packing material I informed him that I declined packaging material, he stated ok, but you must sign any way, I said ok but I am declining, he again said ok. The individual then went outside I went upstairs for approximately 20-25 minutes. While I was upstairs I heard someone using tape, I immediately came downstairs and informed the individuals to stop. The foreman entered the house after he was informed that I instructed his workers to stop. He then called the company and they increased the price to $600-$700. The foreman stated that I would have to use his packing material if I wanted to be moved if I refused they would charge me an hour labor plus $275 cancellation fee. I told him that I was unhappy and we previously disgusted this, he was rude and walked away. They stood around for a little while longer, and then I conversed with my roommate he agreed to continue with the move. I relayed that information to the foreman, he continued to wait around, he then came and spoke to me and informed me that the bill just went up to over $1000, I asked him to leave my house. The police were called and I had to pay $400 for them to release my property for approximately 30 minutes of actual work.
