Phone Scam Demanded Wire Transfer For Granddaughter's Release

Phone scam that told me my granddaughter was being held in the Dominican Republic and requested me to wire via Western Union, $1750.00 to release her from police custody. A person saying that he represented the local police, said they would release her upon receiving the money wired to them from Western Union.
