Cash - Western Union Money wire/transfe

I used Western Union 's money transfer service to wire my son money from Minnesota to California. One of the $100 bills he received from Western Union was counterfeit and seized by the bank (Chase) when he tried to deposit it. WU's customer service response was that he should have checked the money first to make sure it was real prior to leaving their agents office. They are refusing to reimburse. Shouldn't their agents be trained to tell counterfeit bills rather than the general public since their business is to deal with money? I was told this is the risk you run each and every time you use Western Union. Never again. This was one and done for Western Union.
