DermaPerfect
Consumer Report

I ordered a "Free" offer of DermaPerfect anti-aging serum, being required to pay only the shipping -$4.95. However, when I received my Visa bill today, September 28, I noticed a charge of $99.98 billed on September 11. This was a total surprise to me! I certainly would not have ordered the "Free" bottle of DermaPerfect if I had known that it costs $99.98. I wouldn't pay that much for any facial serum. Had I been aware of the charge earlier, I certainly would have returned the product. Again by my count, it is within the 30 days since it was charged on September 11th and today is September 28.

When I called today to ask for a refund, I was told that my 30 days had ended and therefore their computers would not allow them to issue a refund. If my credit card was charged on September 11, by my count, 30 days has not passed. No matter how much I explained that I had not even used it (only once) and would return the bottle, they refused to help me. I was continually told that there is nothing they could do. Oh, yes, they would send me another bottle and not charge me... The $99.98 would stay on my bill. However, I want a refund. I know that I probably checked "I agree with..." when I gave them my credit card number, but I assumed that it was similar to other conditions concerning refunds if necessary. I never dreamed that it was basically "got'cha" scam.

I read the advertisement several times to make sure that I understood that it was FREE. I am a fairly intelligent person who orders many things via the internet. However, I feel that the design of the advertisement was very deceptive... The LARGE FREE words.

I think that if they are an authentic, reliable company they would grant a refund in order to assure customer satisfaction. Because of this, I believe that their FREE advertisement, coupled with their no refund after 30 days, is presented in such a way that they are able to confuse enough people that they can make a profit just from the one time advertisement even if no one orders any more of their product.

Once again... I feel that the advertisement was (is) a SCAM.
