I saw an ad on TV and in magazines for Dermaperfect, and anti-aging, anti-wrinkle product. I went to the online site where it clearly states that this is a free trial and my only obligation was to pay $6.95 shipping and handling, which I did. I ordered the product on 4/3. When I received the product I read somewhere that I had inadvertently enter into a "membership" deal where I would have to pay $99.98 per month for automatic refills. I called the company on 4/10 and told them I wanted to opt out of any further shipments. I was told it would be taken care of and I disconnected the call. I just went online to look at this months credit card statement and there was a charge for $99.98 for Dermaperfect on 4/17! I immediately called the number on the statement and spoke to "customer care". I was told that I needed to have cancelled further shipments within 14 days. I had, I cancelled on the 10th and they billed my card on the 17th. I was then asked if I had sent the product back... To which I answered "no, no one told me I was supposed to do that!" I was told that it was in the "terms and conditions" online. Please remember this was a free trial! I was then told that if I sent the product back I could get a refund (like I'm going to believe that!). I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told she couldn't transfer the call... The supervisor only answered calls that came in on his line. So, I asked for his phone number and she said she couldn't give that out!
This is horrible. I went online and followed the link to the terms and conditions, and that link was in really tiny letters. Anyway, I followed the link and found that more than halfway through the mumbo-jumbo there was a section regarding the trial (and mind you this was a second link):

Refund/Return Policy
You have 30 days to request a refund after you receive your order. Refunds are not given for trial bottles. Please contact Customer Care to initiate the return process. You will be refunded for each unopened unit you send back to us only. You will need to send in the unopened unit back to the address provided below. Upon receipt you will receive a refund of purchase price minus shipping and handling and a 35% restocking fee. Refused or returned packages that are sent to us without prior approval from Customer Care are not eligible for a refund.

As you can see, the original ad was terribly misleading! And how are you supposed to return an unopened product when you ordered it as a TRIAL!
