The floor was placed on July 16. The original installer did not install the floor but contracted it out to one of his 3 groups. I did not know this. When I came down to SC in August, I saw the floor. The floor was uneven and I questioned Thomas as to the unevenness, why did this happen? Thomas said the floor was uneven, yet in a prior phone call, he said the sub-floor was good. There was also a saddle in place of flooring. When I question why, I was told the sub-floor under this section was too thin to have floor planks I was most perturbed over the lack of quality done by his group. He, Thomas, never installed the floor, yet had me originally believe he would do this installation.
We came down from NJ again in September, and discovered the floor buckled in all the rooms. Thomas said this was due to excess humidity and a faulty air conditioner. We have central air and have had it checked and serviced. There was nothing wrong with thecentral air. After sending forty pictures of the damage to HSS (Home Service Store) an affliate of Lumber Liquidators, we will finally get a home floor inspector to evaluate the depth of the problem and determine the actions necessary. It has taken 2 months to get this far. They have postponed taking action until we once again took the issue more aggressively by sending 40 plus photosas opposed to the installers measly 5 photos. It appears to us that the installer took pictures minimizing the intensity of the problem as opposed to our photos which revealed the reality of the situation
