Warning. Edgeco estimates are outrageous. Get work started and then watch the disorganization in finishing. Crews spread too thin and promises made arent kept for work completion. Told coming next day and no show. Then promised another day and same thing. Then you go balistic and force them to come and finish and then it gets CRAZY. Many of the workers have history with the law and on probation. Told "they charge 200 for one person and 2000 for another." When familiarized self with Anabec Warrantee PROCEDURE myself and insisted it be done by the book, they straightened up and brought tape and cameras etc. Wanted to do POST "tape" (mold testing strips) with OUTSIDE INDEPENDENT contractor so that Edgeco WASNT policing SELF!!! And was told by P. Pitkan (owner) wouldnt warrantee with Anabec unless Edgeco DID the PRE AND POST testing. Called Anabec because on Warrantee paperwork it states "Anabec promotes use of independent contractor for post testing" or something like that. Misinformed by Edgeco. Customer has to WAIVE their doing the testing themselves and ALLOW Edgeco to do BOTH! Pepe great guy and hard worker but loyal to the disfunction. (If i were paid what I heard HE is, I would be too!) Arguments ensued such as... Edgeco sends beaucoup people to job sites at THEIR discretion and charge by the MAN HOUR. Told 60.00 per person per hour. They show up at 10 am AT THE EARLIEST. Leave by 3 AT THE LATEST and scheduling staff (Reida/Paul/Rich) charge YOU the customer for full days and 1/2 days at those outrageous charges. Thought ONE guy was coming to vaccum and end up with FOUR and then get the BILL! When they were coming for JUST VACUUMING questioned why were charged for 1000's of dollars... Was told "they need to DRIVE THERE (open at 8 and drive from cohoes) and CLEAN equipment etc (there was NO equip that day to clean). They say the customer pays for that. Job was in Saratoga (30 min from office) NEVER CAME ONCE before 10am. Took lunch and LONG breaks and were charged for them. Never stayed on site more than 3 or 5 hours in any ONE day but were charged for ALL THOSE PEOPLE FOR 8 and 4 hour days (1/2 and full days) JOKE! I counted 33 man hours and were charged 7600 dollars (not kidding) said I was charged for 8 hour days... When came at 1 left at 3 etc etc etc.
This company charges what they want when they want and if you DONT pay, get nasty, dangle your home warrantee in front of you and then if you dont pay put a mechanics lien on your home. Pay UP! If you call their office they say they dont know where so and so are and say "they havent heard from so and so." CRAP. They know they are spread TOO THIN and charge multiple people for workers at the same time. One day the came from another job and I was charged for a full day from MY job. These mold companies are thieves with brief cases. They use scare tactics and terminology to put fear in your pocketbook. The warrantee is smoke and mirrors in many cases. I expect people to earn and honest wage but they arent it. Run... Do your homework and get rid of the mold yourself. It will save you 10's of thousands of dollars. Worth the research. Getting rid of the mold is way more important than bull@ (@ (warrantees.investigage baking soda and dry ice spraying. Watch Youtube. If you USE Edgeco get it in writing DETAILED not general category's and ask for PROOF of man hours. CLOCK arrival and departure times and refuse to pay for anything outside of them as they are bogus. When argued charged for an 8 hour day with one worker that works very hard and fast for 3,4 or 5 hours was told that we charge because "he" did 8 hours of work in 3,4, 5. CRAP and more CRAP. They charge what they want no matter how long they are there.
