Sean, the owner of electric Pro, told me they would charge 98.00 to investigate a problem and determine the solution.
I thought I had a bad breaker, and asked him what additional charges would occur if I needed a new breaker. He said I would be charged extra for the materials. I was satisfied with this info, as I figured a new breaker would run $25.00
I was told that no work would be performed without a quote in advance. But the work was done without a quote (I wasn't worried, knowing the breaker wasn't expensive)
Then they charged 100.00 extra for the breaker! Being an honest person, I paid the employee who did the work and contacted the company for a potential refund. The owner, Sean, took 2 days to return the call. I gave the secretary DETAILED information as written above, and the owner said "DO you have a problem? I havent heard anything about your problem!" Right...
He said "I dont remember saying you would be charged for the materials." WE charge 100.00 for a breaker and installation (the installation took 5 minutes!)
Its not a great sum of money, but if he was honest and told me that the breaker would be 100.00 on the phone, I would never have let them do the work for a total of 200.00!
They don't charge by the hour, because $200/hour would turn their customers stomachs...
Save your money, dont use Electric Pro—they should be called Electric CON! (as in artists!
