Met with Arleta Kordylewska on February 4- to discuss cost to clean my home - Clean & Green Service, LLC was to only clean the bottom level. When Arleta looked over my home she advised me then that it would be anywhere between 2-4 hours to clean @ 25.00 an hour and I agreed.
I spoke with Arleta, February 11 to let her know I was unable to find an item she requested to clean my home (I was to provide all cleaning material) so she advised me to go to Stop & Shop or any grocery store to get the item in question. Arleta, told me that she would arrive prior to her worker's scheduled time to make sure all supplies were there and that she would assist her in getting started.
The woman that cleaned my home did not speak english - took several cigarette breaks - I assumed because she kept going outside to smoke. I informed Arleta that I would make a run to Target to get an item that was needed and while I was out I would stop at the bank. I asked her the price because they were moving on to the last room around 11:30 am. At this particular time Arleta stated the price was 125.00 I was perplexed because she stated 25.00 an hour and they arrived after 9 am.
She then stated that I had to pay for her services as well which meant it was 25.00 per person which was not discussed in our email agreement nor our verbal agreement. I then said to her that she advised me the night before that she was only coming to assist her and did not state I would have to pay for her fee as well. Arleta then stated she was only charging me 1 hour for her service. Now - you do the math. At 11:30am it was 125.00 which meant it would take another hour to wrap things up.
2.5 hours an hour to wrap things up and 25.00 for Arleta services... The total which she quoted 125.00 I then questioned her fee and she stated she would not charge me so we were back to 100.00 finishing a little before 1:00 pm. I then stated that I had to leave and would return. I was unable to return and the worker took it upon herself to stay until 6pm and I received a bill for 238.00. I was not only shocked - I could not believe this woman (Arleta) was trying to rip me off. If they cleaned my home for 9 hours, plus an additional 2 hours for Arleta's assistance, how did they still leave dust.
I contacted Sparkling Cleaning Service to inspect my home and give me a price. I was charged 80.00 and it took them less than 3 hours to clean my home. Based on Sparkling Cleaning Service's professional opinion it should not take 9 to 11 hours to clean my home. I offered to pay the amount agreed upon and CGS refused to take my money. Please do not use this service.
