I was contacted by phone from beaverton, oregon by a female leading me throgh a protracted process to show me that my computer was about to crash due to the presence of thousands of virus—the process went on for an hour and a half - i was tired and dopey and signed on to purchase a virus protection - to a company called advancepccare-com for $139 and to mercaway-com for $117—the next day i suspected a ripoff and learned on-line of mercaway's scam history—i have e-mailed customermercaway-com to protest and dispute the charges
