Received call from a man saying he was calling on from Tec Support for MicroSoft and that my computer had been hacked and was sending messages to microsoft in the background were I wound have not seen it.
Had me jump through some simple hoops turned over my Lap Top to the Tec person who was going to fix it and have it all taken care of in no time. I asked if he's doing all this stuff what is it going to cost me? He gave me the ranges and I just started to cry. I had just been "Downsized" and really couldn't see paying for anything that I was just going to have to renew and couldn't afford "The Life Time" special. I really couldn't afford to do any of it. He said he'd talk to his boss and be back... Of course his boss would make me a deal. $330.00 for the life time. I told the person I was really sticking my neck out... Little did I know... And I said yes.
Went through the whole process put it on my card that I need to try and pay off.
Lucky for me I checked my credit card statement and my e-mail statement from them.
They had charged my card twice. The first time through with a bogus name Thomas Softy. I was told that they would take care of "Mr. Softy's" statement and resent me mine. I imediatly had the first charge removed from my account.
Today 08-06-12 They call and demand to know WHY I had the charge returned. I told them that I was in my car, give me a half an hour to get home and I will give them the numbers of all the charges Correct AND Incorrct.
Instead of driving home I end up in an argument with the guy about the whole thing. He brings up that we'd have to bring in the FBI I said good it's one of your guys.
It's been over an hour now. I've found this site and I will also report it to my local police and my phone carrier.
This is wire Fraurd, a Federal offence. Can't wait for them to call me back.
