I purchased a new rifle for $800 that arrived damaged. I called the manufacturor (Century Arms) and they offered me a credit or a repair. The credit amounted to $300 less then I payed for the rifle. The dealer will not refund my full purchase price either. This piece of garbage, also know as a Zastava pap AK-47, has never been fired either.
When I spoke to a supervisor at Century she was extremely rude and actually hung up the telephone after she claimed that there is nothing else they could do per their policy. This was action was completely unwarranted. I expressed my concern about the quality of their rifles but did so in a courteous and professional manor. I asked if I could use my credit toward the purchase of another rifle directly form them. They stated that it was against their policy.
So even after I was willing to take a $300 loss for doing nothing more then opening a box with a brand new rifle they were still unwilling to take accommodate a customer.
I sent the rifle back to the company for repair and they originally wanted me to pay for the shipping. Again I just want to reiterated that I have had the rifle for less then 1 week and it has never been fired.in addition it arrived damaged. After another three phone calls they finally agreed to cover the $20 dollar shipping fee.
Never again will I purchase anything made by these crooks! I advise that consumers stay away from Century Arms International, their products are garbage and their customer service is even worse.
