Complaint / review text:
I went to this DMV at Pomona for California driver's license. Since I already have Washington license, all I need is to pass the written test in order to get my new California license. The test is only 36 questions; I finished it at 1:30PM. But until 3:00pm (that's 1 and half hour wait) I still don't get my test result. And that's not me waiting for test result; it's about 20 of us waiting together. A guy went to talk to the supervisor, after 10 mins, he come back with the supervisor to the examiner pull his test out and give it to him right the way. Then I went to the supervisor ask him if he can get someone else to help her (examiner). Because there is only one person who is in charge of the written test, and we are here for 2 hours to wait for them to correct 36 questions. The supervisor said OK, Ok, but never showed up again and no helpers at all. Finally, at 3:30pm I got my test result back, it's a PASS. Then she gave me a driving test appointment form. I said, I don't need driving test, after I showed her my Washington license, the examiner said you should tell me that before the test. After about 30 mins, they finally get my permit and my CA license will be in mail soon.
My question here is: 1) How long does it take to correct 36 questions? (2 hours?) 2) Do I have to tell everyone I need written test only? I had DL44 field out, I had my picture taken and I paid $31 at the windows already, I assume their paperwork should clearly reflect my written test only status. 3) Their careless supervisor never called anyone to help this "poor" examiner.
