|I visited this store approx 4.00pm Friday 8th August, and after shopping for my supplies I was surprised to find that there were no checkouts manned and had to wait in a very long queue at the customer service desk which was dealing with enquiries, check outs and everything else. Progress was extremely slow and I asked a member of staff called Rachel if someone could man some of the check-outs to which she rudely replied that self check outs were available. I was shocked by her rudeness when she turned her back on me, even when I said that i did not wish to use one of those. When she came back to her stationary position, I asked if her manager could be called as she was rudely ignoring my request to staff up check outs. She was extremely aggressive and told me that the manager would not serve me if he was called and accused me of shouting at her, which was not true and I have witnesses to prove this to be the case. As a regular customer at Asda Stores, my local being as Gosforth A1 Newcastle upon Tyne NE3, this rudnessd was a new experience for me and one which i cannot expect or accept from any service business. I decided to leave my basket of wine shopping and left the shop without any purchase. I have to say that I will never enter an Asda Store again and after many years of support I shall move my shopping to Sainsbury's at Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 and forever say shame on Asda for providing such rude, unhelpful staff and such poor service. I do hope that your senior management team will remonstrate with this very poorly managed store and its staff.
