My future son-in-law took my daughter to B and A Jewelers to purchase an engagement ring. They did find a ring for her which was a bit out of their price range but they purchased it anyway. However, when they took the ring to be appraised for insurance purposes they were informed that it was worth 30% less than what they had paid. When we returned to the store to question the quality of the ring, they became very evasive by stating very simply 'these are our prices'.
