Company rang to assist with Windows setup. Thought this guy Adam Parker was the same chap I spoke to afew wk's back, via help line etc. As he's helping me with query, said he could see I had many scam msg's, showed me pages of emails that I had'nt written, I had'nt infact used my computer during this period. Said he was authorised to help clear this scam rubbish and my computer would then speed up and the problem I had trying to get into windows would be corrected. He knew various details of mine, so I thought him legitimate and left my computer for an hour, so he could look into this problem for me. WhenI returned to computer there was a graph screen in colours of red and green. Red being scam rubbish which over powered green, he had cleared heaps of scam but there was still some to clear. He asked for details for payment etc. I expected to pay for windows update etc, so thought this ok. This morning when trying to get into my computer it kept saying my password was incorrect, it took ages to get into facebook only to find computer so very slow, could'nt get older post from two days ago, Set up changed, size of print changed, nothing working like it had been previously? I still cannot get into windows, the whole computer has been shambled? I have this $249 charged to my credit card, which has put it over my daily limit, hence I will get another bill on top for going over limit, when I clearly stated that I could not use my credit card at the moment, they would then invoice me the charge, giving me time to save the money, which I had'nt planned for. I am a carer for my aged mother, only a small income and do not have any spare money, now this awful company has put me in debt which adds to my stress, they are wicked thieves doing this to honest people. I will need a ITT Technician to help restore, reset and hopefully repair the damage, another expense not planned. It is so depressing and very stressful not knowing what information they might have stolen and what they might be able to do next? I will have to go without my computer now, it is too worrying and quite freaky that they can be in your computer and move things around as you watch the screen and there is nothing you can do to stop it. I have full security and spyware protection on this computer, thats what I paid for, so this sort of thing can't happen, seems again it was a waste of money. Can you please help me in any way and advise me how I go about getting my money back they stole. Who can we trust now when we need help with our computer queries, how can we tell they are legitimate?
