Contacted their head office and also Wrexham office making an enquiry about the 'BUT ONE TYRE GET ONE FREE' offer on many popular sizes...
I was informed that if you buy 2 or 4 tyres, the tyres work out at £49.75 each without fitting. The fitting is added on which takes it to £61.25 per tyre... (Okay fair enough!)
I only require 2 tyres so was expecting a quote for £61.25... Cost of 2 tyres normally would cost £122.50 but as they are on offer as 'Buy one get one free' then in my book the price of £61.25 is correct...?
I was then informed that I did not need a voucher as the tyres I require are already on offer as 'Buy one get one free'. The price for 1 tyre was now £111.00 fitted and for 2 tyres was £122.50 fitted. The buy one get one free offer is for the tyre only, the fitting is added on top and fitting costs £11.50 per tyre...
If I wished to buy the 2 tyres and take them away the price would be £99.50 for 2 tyres. BUT they are on offer 'BUY ONE GET ONE FREE'. Does this make sence, so far?
I was then informed, the price for one tyre is £111.00. The £49.75 is the price the tyre works out at the cheapest point (when you buy 2 or 4 when it is on multi buy)...
Am I wrong in this matter or this this wrong and false advertisement and missleading the customer... Why did the price of 1 tyre jump from £49.75 each to £111.00 in a heart beat when the advert clearly quotes 'BUY ONE GET ONE FREE'???
Please can anyone advise? Regards Robin Griffin
